Just a Quickie: Post Relaxer Update

So I have been super lazy since coming from the beauty salon.  Until this morning I didn't moisturize or seal anything at all I just put on my satin cap and went to sleep.  Thankfully there wasn't much in the way of tangles cause I can sleep kinda wild sometimes.  If I wasn't leaving the house yesterday I wouldn't have even combed it till today and that was just to make sure I had the part where I wanted it to be.  I tied down my edges after I moisturized with my Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter and then sealed with Organix Macadamia Dry styling oil.  Back under the satin cap for now just to keep my ends off my shirt.  I'll take a photo of my edges at some point in the next few days to show you what it looks like relaxed.  And that's the other area, of course, that is full of gray since it was all new growth.

How goes your stretching and/or relaxer/texlaxer days ladies?

  1. I commend you for trying to go natural. I tried to 5 months and it was so much upkeep. I went back to the creamy crack. Maybe one day I will try again.

    1. Not going natural at all. I just stretch the time out between my relaxers. I'm averaging 12-14 weeks between them but almost hit 16 this last relaxer. Allows time for my hair to thicken up and grow out a bit with less damage.

  2. I get a little lazy after relaxer days. After weeks of battling with your hair to lay down, don't frizz up, and coaxing into styles that it just doesn't want to do, I don't feel like doing a thing to it!

How do you like your Organix Macadamia Dry styling oil. It's totally on my list of Organix products to try!

    1. It works well. Not too oily and a little goes a long way. I've been pleasantly surprised by all the Organix line.
